![]() The Business History Conference welcomes you to its Web site. In his address at the 1972 annual meeting, Richard C. Overton, the BHC's first president, discussed the ways in which the Conference could help its members and the field of business history in general. Arguing that the main purpose of the BHC should be to disseminate information of interest to members, Overton said: "I think ... that we have responsibilities and opportunities far beyond simply having a meeting and publishing the proceedings of what we do there. I would say, in general terms, that we have the all-embracing function of keeping our members in touch with each other and with what is going on in the business history profession." We hope that these Web pages, in conjunction with H-Business, will help to perform that function in a way unimagined three decades ago. We welcome your comments and suggestions for improvement; in the meantime, enjoy your travels! | About the BHC Governance Annual Meetings 2013 Call for Papers 2012 Meeting Future Meetings Publications Enterprise & Society BEH On-Line Print BEH Archives The Exchange Grants and Prizes 2012 Gomory Prize Flyer H-Business Become a Member Renew Now!
